vBulletin.org style addon? Please read!
Hi,
I've been looking for an addon or series of addons which will do the following: 1. Customised post new topic form a) I want to force users to have to select criteria under which they post articles in a specific forum. For example, users who want to post a new topic in the 'Articles' forum must fill out the following criteria: Subject (drop down box) Course code (text input as there are too many different codes to put in a drop down box) Title of article (text input) Year (drop down box) In the case of an article about called 'Pythagoras' Theorem' from the trig2500 course published in 2005, the thread title would come up as follows: [MATHS] [TRIG2500] Pythagoras' Theorem (2005) Additionally, when posting the thread, they would also be forced to upload an attachment (which would be a doc, pdf, etc. file containing the article). The standard reply box could be used to give comments on the article or to post a preview of the article. This aims to work in a similar fashion to vBulletin.org. 2. Filtering Options in the Forum Display In a similar manner to vBulletin.org, I want users to be allowed to filter the threads listed on the forumdisplay. For example, they would get the following at the top of the forumdisplay: [Subject (drop down)] [Course Code (text input)] [Year (drop down)] [Keywords (text input)] Clicking submit would return their results. It would be a bonus if they could do a search through the filtered results, but it's not really necessary. If someone could help point me to an addon or series of addons which can facilitate this, I will be extremely grateful! Thank you! There's a mod called Thread Prefixes which seems to do something similar to what I want, but I'd like to have more filtering options: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=123033 |
