I'm just trying to update the value of a custom field in the usergroup table.
The issue that I am having is rather that if I include host, password and etc info directly as given in the example file it was basically copied from (except variable changes), then it works.
But from what I have understood then if you include the global file then you should get the connection to the database as that includes the init file. And it does get the information that way, but just doesn't update. The page is of course on the same server, so it shouldn't be a whitelist issue either. Or maybe I am just completely stupid?
