Post to thread from outside vBulletin
I searched aorund but could not find this (closest thing I did find was vBexternal)
I basically want to put a short form: "title" "comments" and "submit" at the botom of one onf my non-vBulletin pages for users to comment on articles they are reading; On submit, if the user is logged in his/her comment will appear at the bottom of the article (also in the vBulletin thread); I want it to sort of behave like blog comments do now - but since I use vb... The basic functionality would be like this: 1. User posts comment - if it is the first comment posted a new thread is created in the designated forum; with the comment as the first post. 2. Once post is created user is routed back to article page and his comment is also diplayed inline at the bottom of the page 3. If user posting is not logged in - user is routed to login/register page and then process resumes. Has anyone already done something similar? if so can you please point me to it? Thanks - this is vor 3.6 BTW |
