Access Masks Hack Request
I would like a hack/plugin/modification that would allow our members to go to another page and set their access masks. It would only show them the forums they have access to in the first place but from the list of forums they could pick and chose which forum areas they want to see. Then when they would log back into the site it would act like a forum favorites for them and would only display those forum areas they are interested in.
Thanks, Parker |

There are already hacks available that allow users to hide certain forums if they don't want to see them.

Thanks. That's a good one to keep in mind. But the reason that I asked for the same functionality as the access masks is that a member can chose which forums they see when they get on the site. The hack above allows them to manipulate the search and new posts but they will still see every category and forum on the main forumhome page. With the ability of members to control which forums they have access to those they want (excpet for those they don't have access to in the first place) this will give them greater control over what they see when they come to the forum.
I had this with vB 2.3.xx for years and I have a lot of members asking for this function back. |

There's another similar hack that also hides the forum from the main forums display.
I just prefer that the user be able to see those forums if they want to go to them individually. |

Thanks for the heads up on this stuff. I found the other script that you referred to and it works just like I hoped it would.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a hack that will allow mods and smods to set access masks for users as a banning method, ie user 1234 doesn't have access to forum id 5 for example. Is this possible for mods & smods too? TIA |

See this:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=98360 It actually hides forums from the listings. |

Hmmmm, looks good but I want to be able to not display (ie ban) a forum to a certain user as a punishment not as benefit.
I was looking at the screenshot.png, can that be set that mods, smods and admins can set it for users instead of users having the option? EDIT*** Found this - ModCP Access Mask 1.00:banana: |
