Changing Member Numbers
guys, i've had a request from a member for me to change his member number.
so for example, a profile is located at: http://www.commodorelife.com/forums/member.php?u=91 if he wanted say number 150, so it's u=150, can that be done, and how? Also, will doing this then start the new members from 151, or will it keep going from 92 and skip 150 when it gets there coz it knows it's being used? thanks guyz |

You might be able to change this in the db it self. But why do you want to do this :S

I run a club, to make membership numbers easier I want the forum number and member number to be the same.,..
the member has all his accounts with the same number, and asked if he could do the same with my club |

I wouldn't so it, myself. You will be in for more problems than it is worth. His pms, posts and other things won't change when you change his number. And you need to make sure you don't change it to a number that is already there. It's not worth what you might possibly have to go through to straighten everything back out, if even possible to do that after doing something like that. Just my 2 cents worth.
