Personal thread/page/etc.

This appeared to be the best suited for my question. The request I'm making isn't so much as to a specific hack being made, but rather the location, if any[more] of where one used to be.

I'm looking for a hack that I think was released recently (or resurfaced) that allowed users to have their own page. I've tried using amykhar's work, and although very talented and noteworthy, it wasn't what I needed. There is a hack, however, that I came across that allowed users to have their own page, if you will, that only they could post to (not the private thread hack) and it appeared to have an extension (such as http://www.someforum.com/username or http://www.someforum.com/~username).

Before someone goes wild and blasts this request with obscenities like, "Did you use the search function?," I assure you, this is my somewhat-last resort. I've tried numerous search queries and sometimes searching a few hundred postings/titles/etc. Some of them included (and in different combinations):
* users page
* user page
* custom page
* profile
* profile page

Trust me I didn't want to post this but I wasn't sure what else to do.

Gosh, you've got a lot of requests in a relatively few lines there

1. Having a page with the URL as www.domain.ext/username will require a SEO style mod, or at least using mod rewrite to redefine your URL's
2. I'm assuming that this is the mod you have tried --> https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91903
3. The only other one I know of that would possibly be remotely close to what you are looking for is vBJournal --> https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=96462
4. I also found this one (I remembered installing it at one point) but it hasn't been ported to 3.5.x yet and judging off the thread content there are no immediate plans to do so. --> https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=71065

Actually, I was hoping it would only be 1 request :P

I've not thought about 1 because I'm somewhat skeptical about doing an SEO, - at least until I would be comfortable with that, but yes, you are correct on 2 - that's the one I've tried. I looked through 3 but couldn't find any screenshots (or at least ones using search that fit what I needed) 4 looks awesome, but its a 3.0.x mod unfortunately.

I mainly wanted content on a separate page like a custom homepage or blog, if you will.

I've just thought about vDrupal. I'm not 100% sure about it as I've not really looked at it in any detail, but it may do what you are after in a round and about sort of way.

I'm checking it out - not quite what I had in mind, but it might work.

Drupal doesn't work for me. It looks nice and all, but its not going to work - plus there are issues (I call them bugs) that break this hack. I won't discuss them as this isn't the appropriate thread for that.

Back to the drawing board...
