I thought I saw a hack like this before, but is there a hack which would grant a user full control over their forum
Meaning, they'd have the ability to ban people from their forum, but not the WHOLE forum overall? And/or other features like setting the style for the forum and stuff normally only accessible to Admins/super mods |

nope. I would love a similar hack. Trigunflame said he'd make one to allow mods to ban people from their forum only, but he's been busy I guess and its yet to be released.

Deimos, some of the stuff you're asking for would violate your vbulletin license.

Jelsoft draws a very fine line on what is allowed for user-created forums. Admin functions such as changing the style are one thing that was identified as not permissible before.
User-created forums that give them no more functions than what vbulletin already has built in for mods seem to be ok. It's when you get into admin functionality that things get trickier. And, I probably should have used the word 'could' instead of 'would' . As I mentioned, it's a bit of a fuzzy thin line between what's ok and what isn't. |

well it stems from the vbhosting hack where it was like mimicing ezboard where anyone could signup and have their own forum
they just need to limit it so that you don't lose the parent forum part of it but still give people the ability to customize and manage their subforums. |

I think this is the cloest thing you'll get to on here. |

actually amykhar also has a hideaway code that is very nice....it allows your members to create their own "hideaway" they control the users permissions to join and such. the only people that have access to it are people you have granted permission to. i do belueve that you can remove members also. have you looked into that?
