Amazon Search with Post

I have seen several amazon addons for vBulletin. Some are full stores, some bbcodes and some just links. What I am looking for is a bit more complicated.

An Amazon search box that goes under the "Search" menu (similar to the "Google" addon). The difference is that the search results are generated in a new post. The real strength of this is users can view all the past searches. In addition, because the results are in a vBB thread, they are now searchable via the normal vBB search options as well and will show up along with other things that are normally searched for. This is particulary good for me as I have many threads involving books and when users search for posts on a particular book, they might find amazon links too.

ACP Features:

• On an Off options.
• Associate ID embedded in all links and set in the ACP
• Developers Token embedded in all links and set in the ACP (I am not sure how a developers token works but I know it is important to have).
• Set Forum # to post in for each Amazon category (real good for forums with a diversity of topics. Can set the "Books" category to show up in the "Books" area and the "Movies" category to show up in the "Movies" forums).
• Set User # to post as
• Show "Who did the Search" Yes/No ("No" if you want to protect your user's privacy on their search habbits)
• Number of search results before making a "Reply" to search post (this works with the "Maximum Characters" allowed for posts (eg. If you set it to "10" and the search gives 50 results, then there will be 1 post and 4 replies by the same User ID).

Forum Display Features:

• Search results are displayed in the thread that is created
• All search results links have the Associate ID built in
• Title of each post is the category + exactly what was searched for (eg. Books: Harry Potter)
• Latest Amazon searches on the forum home page (Just the "Search" title and a link to the thread)
• Search results generate 1 new post in the specified forum

I think that is all. I might think of more later. If I saw a mod this powerful and it had the obvious ablilty to make me money, I would pay for this. Maybe make a new domain for it at www.vBAmazon.com or something.

Amazon does not allow the use of Affiliate shops and ads on domains which contain the word amazon in the name.

Then choose a new domain name. That is hardly relevant to the point of the post tho.

Anyway, the domain name would be for the selling of the script, not to host the shop itself.

Well, I thought it was just a lame idea. Nobody seems to be interested in this.
