Merge threads by appending one thread to another
Quite often on the forum I help admin we have multiple threads on the same subject and we'd like to merge them into one thread however if we used the merge function the different discussions get intermingled and what we'd like to be able to do is to append one thread to the bottom of another. In other words not merge according to the time-stamp on the posts.

I would like this too, has this ever been resolved?
We have a quick question thread that we try to merge small questions into so that most threads are a real discussion and not just one question, one or two answers. But we want them to show up together all at the bottom of the quick q thread so people can see them and answer them. Ideas? |

I want to third this option. I just deal with the mingle as you put it but this would be nice to have.

I'm sorry for bumping an old thread, but I am trying to do the exact same thing, and I was wondering.. since it's been 5 years since the start of this thread... if there is now a mod or option that we can use to merge threads by appending one thread to another? I really need to do this on my forum. I'm using version 3.8.5.
If anyone ever comes to this thread looking for ideas to create such a mod, this other thread I found is a good starting point. |

Posts get sorted by date so it would mean a lot of changes to not mix the posts. There is no such mod.
