CAN NOT ACCESS FORUMS/Permissions
VB and VBA are NOT helping me at all, only sending me the same instructions over and over again, that I keep doing over and over, but it is not working or fixing my problem. Each one keeps saying it is the OTHER site that should be helping me.
I have my CMPS back up and is my home page (index.php), but when I click on FORUMS(index2.php) it gives me this: Code:
....you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. Log Out Home Also, I have even tried renaming my forums page (index2.php) to just index.php and my cmps to (indextemp.php) so that my redirect from HTML would direct STRAIGHT to the forums, but it STILL is giving me the "...you don't have permission to access this page" as ANY usergroup. I know the forums are there, because I can access them on the FORUM JUMP menu on the "...you don't have permission" page. WTF??!! Please help, have been having this problem for a week since upgraded from 3.0.7 to 3.5.4 |

Did you install a vB3.5 version of you CMPS?
What are the urls to your: redirectpage, CMPS and forum? Try with a new style with no parent set. Clear cookies and browser cache. Make sure to tick the remember me box when logging in. |

URL: www.ratpackinternational.com html redirect to: http://www.ratpackinternational.com/packchat/index.php?
index.php is my CMPS home page, and that shows up. Forum is index2.php and is only accessable through the Forum Jump menu, but only a forum at a time, can't get to forum home which displays all forums. and a vb3.5 VERSION OF CMPS? I only can find the CMPS 2.1.0 and that is what I installed. |

Your problem is in your Style, you are not using a vB3.5 style.
If you use styleid=5 (according to the description a 3.5.5 style), it works fine: http://www.ratpackinternational.com/....php?styleid=5 Also with the style you are using the link to the forum is totally wrong: Code:
http://www.ratpackinternational.com/packchats=4d75b09ad5f7985910b550e5acfba6c2&/index2.php? |

Ok, I"m confused, I see that a bunch of stuff just changed on my home page, but there is now no link to the Forums in the nav bar. I want it to replace the Calander link.
Also, when I was in the AdminCP I no longer saw the VbCMPS options. Can you explain this a little better to me? so, what is the step by step correction for this? don't leave me now, you're the only one to even respond to all my requests. Please help, would like to have this resolved today. Ok, I tried the ...styleid=5 and it didn't work, I need help here, please. I know I'm not the only one on the forum that needs help, but I've been asking all over for a week now, and I'm not getting much help. PLEASE |

The only way I can see anyone could take a look is if you provide full admin and ftp access. If you want to PM them to me this afternoon (about an hour from now) then I will have a look - however, be aware that all I promise is to look and see if it's a simple problem that can easily be fixed - I don't have hours & hours to spend mending a forum that's not mine.

Well the first few lines of your index2.php are this ;
Code:
/*======================================================================*\ || #################################################################### || || # vBulletin 3.0.7 - Licence Number xxxxxxxxx || # ---------------------------------------------------------------- # || || # Copyright ?2000–2005 Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. All Rights Reserved. || || # This file may not be redistributed in whole or significant part. # || || # ---------------- VBULLETIN IS NOT FREE SOFTWARE ---------------- # || || # http://www.vbulletin.com | http://www.vbulletin.com/license.html # || || #################################################################### || \*======================================================================*/ Swap it for a correct version and you should get somewhere. |
