QUESTION about the reputation feature
I really do like the Reputation system... on my board we use rep comments to cheer someone up who's feeling down and any other number of reasons, and the comments are seen only in the recipients' usercp. I like the little green boxes showing as well.
However, I don't like the Reputation power points... whatever they are... showing in a users' post. Everyone's always asking me what they are for and I have NO earthly idea! When I tried to disable the rep power, of course the reputation and boxes are disabled as well. Is there a way to disable the rep power ONLY, but NOT the rep comments and green boxes?? |

When someone gives you positive feedback your rep points go up, and vice versa.
To remove the text you will have to remove it from a template.. I'll try to find out how and write a "How-To" |

There's a separate option to turn on/off Rep Power.
AdminCP->vBulletin Options->Thread Display Options (showthread)->Post Elements |

Does anyone know how to stop one person from giving rep?

I don't think you can. It's controlled via usergroups
