Default reward for stolen xmas decorations off lawn...

a couple of days ago, 3 decorations were taken off my lawn. lastnight, another was taken off my lawn.

now everything is chained up and hopefully wont happen again, but i was thinking of offering a reward for the location of my decorations, say about $500, for the locations and arrest of the person(s) stealing xmas decorations.

what yall think

I highly doubt that these guys will be catched, their probably some teenagers that just ''punk'' the decorations and throw them away or whatever.

I wouldn't believe that it's an older man ''stealing'' them from you to put on their own lawn...

It's sad when things like this happen. Though, I don't think there's much you can do unless you want to stay up all night looking out your window.

Then run out there with a bazooka. Well, joking.. obviously?
But confronting them would make them never return, I'm sure?

Sorry that your holiday spirit is getting harmed by some unsupervised child.

Confronting them will only embolden them to return and do it more...

Investing in a CCTV camera would be better for you - You can catch the culprits if they try again...

This has got to be one of the dumbest things one can do. People try to decorate their lawns and display a nice scenery to give of that feeling of warmth that one gets when christmas is around, and then you have people like this who don't know how to appeciate it. I'd advise you to take a real expensive decoration and place it smack int he middle of your lawn, then stay up and wait to see who steals it

Are the decorations even worth $500.00?

Just electify the decorations at night. They'd be "shocked" to find out what happens next. :ninja:

Get a dog, and train him to take care of business for you.

Oh, they wouldn't if I confronted them. I'd beat them up with one of my candy cane decorations.

But no, really.. it's either 50 - 50. There's the type of kid that will come back and do something worse after being confronted. And there's the type of kid who will be far too scared to get caught.

But getting a camera would be the best solution, to be honest.
