So this thread is going to be just a bit-ch ing session between two arcade camps then ? All this fuss over an ARCADE. Get a life people. Both are available free, end of. Make your choice and stop moaning about the other version.
edit: and for crying out loud, why is bit-ch censored |

Personally, I feel that this hack should be offered solely on John's site, and not on this site at all - I think that several factors in his release are against the spirit of this community, and that a double-standard is being applied to this release as opposed to other releases in these regards. I think that the powers that be at vb.org should make up their minds and stick with one plan. John can't have his cake and eat it too - he can't have the support and help of this community in helping develop his hacks, yet try to make a buck off of the same community. He should take all of this stuff over to his site. His hack is great, but it doesn't belong here, and cripple-ware has no place on this site. If it does - then I feel that they should be fair and consistent and they should also allow Brian, Cinq and The Geek the same opportunity. |

I doubt John will make much - if any - money from game sales.
Nothing in this world is free. If you want a LEGAL arcade, then you have to PAY for a game here or there, as of which is decided by the game author and not us at v3arcade.com, I might add. Similarly, additional links are added for some games because this is part of an agreement that we have with the author in exchange for offering them you guys to install. It saddens me to see such an attitude here by some people that are showing us their true colours. The whole idea of premium games and the additional license was an attempt to find the happy medium between arcade scripts and game authors that a lot of people wanted. The $60 optional branding free option seems to have clouded many people's opinion of the system.. Believing that v3arcade is somehow against the spirit of vbulletin.org is quite rediculous. |
