Make Website the "Login" using vBulletin
Hi there,
We'd like to utilize vBulletin's database as a way for users to "Login" into the site as well as be logged in vBulletin to post messages. For example, in order for a user to participate outside of the forums such as casting user reviews and casting votes on voting polls on the site (outside of vbulletin), the user must register and login to vBulletin in order to do this. Is this possible? In other words, the user must be logged into vBulletin in order to utilize other features outside of vBulletin. Thanks for any tips and help! |

Make sure your cookie path and domain settings are set properly, otherwise logging into vbulletin wont set the necessary cookies that can be read by the main part of your site.
Then, the rest of your scripts will need to (at the very least) require init.php (better to use global.php though) and you'll have access to vBulletin information based on the cookies. |
