Help with HTML coding

I'd like to know how to get a small sound to play when someone HOVERS over a link, exactly how to code that. I THOUGHT I could figure it out but I've had no luck. Thanks in advance everyone.

easy, its not really html, and vbulletin already has that set u, but for future referance, its this

a:hover
{
font-face:comix
}

will make it happen (put that in your header)

Umm..................well, that didn't exactly help me out, sorry. What I'm trying to do is when, on my forum, when someone is hovering over "new posts" for example, they hear an engine rev. But ONLY while they hover over it. I HAVE the sound that I'm trying to use, I just have no clue as to where to start to do something like this. How can I go about doing this? Thanks in advance everyone.

I find any site that plays sounds like this rather annoying. Nothing worst then browsing at 3 am and waking everyone in the house up because I forgot to turn down my speakers. It will also cause slower browsing for your dial-up users with the inital load.

The only method I know of outside of flash would be using javascript. Here is a page that deals with this subject:

If you know your way around the template it shouldn't be much work to get this working within vBulletin. If you need help let me know.
