Custom Fields in Mass email
How do I include a custom field in a mass email. I have custom fields for first name and last name.
I want to be able to send out mass email with something like: Hello $field5 in place of Hello $username How and what would need to be modified to do this? Thanks! |

This doesn't look good. Several months and no responses, should I assume that this can't be done?
I also have a forum that I'm converting to vBulletin. It is a small professional forum and everyone is required to use their real names in signatures, etc. So I was really hoping there would be a way to address them by their first names in mass emails. Thanks, Andrew |

I've been spending most of the last couple days browsing this site and adding mods to my new vBulletin forum, and I must say that there are some really brilliant people doing some really cool stuff around here.
I honestly cannot believe that not one person has been able to figure out how to put a member's first name into an email. I know that many forums thrive on anonymity and funky usernames, but for more professional communities that prefer to use real names, personalized communications can be a very important marketing tool. I can't believe that no one else can see the importance of this. Andrew |
