Does anyone know how to create a button that shows all of the recently posted posts or threads.

Just create a new image to use for the button based on your style, and then add a href to it that points to $vboptions[bburl]/search.php?do=getnew

Then insert your new button code in whatever template you want the New Posts button to appear in.
