have a problem with one of my sites in the way vbb is installed.
I am running redhat and all my sites I have vbb in \var\www\html\vBulletin On the site I am having problems with it will not work unless the global.php admincp and includes folder are in \var\www\html If I remove either folder the site stops working, its got to be something in a path somewhere I think but I am lost as to what to do. I have compared files from the other sites that are working but I cant find the problem. |

What I am saying is that.. I have vBulletin installed in /var/www/html/vBulletin
but it will not work unless I copy global.php, the admincp and includes folder into the /var/www/html folder. If I remove either global.php or the admincp and includes folder from the /var/www/html VBB stops working. I also have global.php and the admincp and includes folder in the var/www/html/vBulletin. Its as thought its looking in the html folder for these files and not in the vBulletin folder. Its working fine now.. I just wanted to get all the files in the vBulletin folder like the rest of my sites.. Quote:

First of all it is vB, not VBB (this is different bulletin board software).
Check your site url in your vBulletin Options. |

Site url is correct http://alawx.com I also changed it to http://alawx.com/vBulletin and it still worked, but once I remove the global.php file from /var/www/html it wont load.

It should be pointing to your forum url, not your homepage (that is a different settting)

I agree, but it works both ways.
