Does anyone know if you are able to convert from another type of message board to vBullentin from a backup file?

Also, can you append one forum to another?

What forum were you running? What sort of backup file is it? MySQL ? Access? MSSQL ?

I'm currently running vBulletin 3.0.7.

I'm not sure the type of back up file it is, it is another person who I am working with to possibly do this.

He was running it on a phpbb.

Not sure if that is all the info you were looking for. I'm not very computer savvy, but if you tell me where to look on my site I can give you the info. Thanks for the help.

You should be able to restore the database to the mysql server, and then use impex to import it.

Now will I be able to just add what information is there to what is already on the site? Or would it overwrite what is already there?
