I would like someone else to test this before i go post it in the bug tracker. Please if anybody with 3.50RC2 could test the following (i tried with IE):
- Create 2 test threads, each with 1 or more replies. - Open 1 thread in your browser and select on of the posts in that thread (you are planning to move it) - Now you are interupted, someone is spamming your board, and you open a second browser (window/tab). - With the second browser window (first still open), go to thread #2, select 1 of the posts. Question 1: How many selected posts you have in the "Go(..)" button in the bottom? Question 2: if you select Delete Posts in window 2 and then press Go, how many posts are deleted? Is the post you selected in the other window also deleted? If you tested this, please post here with the browser you used for testing. |

For question one, I marked 2 posts in the first window, and 1 in the second. I show 3 posts in the Go button.
Give me a minute and I'll create a couple of test threads to test the delete. Just tested delete. 3 posts were marked (2 in one window, 1 in the other). All three were deleted. Linux using Opera 8.02 |

Yeah the same as i am getting in IE. Sounds like a bug to me, you wanted only to delete 1 post (in my example above).
Did search the bugtracker, but couldn't find anything, so i better make a new one. Thanks for testing. |

The way the inline moderation works, if you check something, it stays checked. Had a member who kept quoting stuff in threads that had absolutely nothing to do with the quoted text. Told him to go search for a checked post. That was it. This was even after he had logged out and logged back in.

YEs i have the same experience, even a hard refresh of a thread, don't clear the marked posts.
Together with the above test, it is very easy to accidentilly delete posts. I came to this problem while researching a problem where posts in 1 particular thread can not be performed any action upon. You can select them, but the action will just not be performed. |

You smell that? Smells like 3.5.0 Release Candidate 3!

Actually not, the reply to the bug report is that this is something that can not be worked around.
It is actually a 'feature', making it possible to perform an action on posts from multiple threads at once, like merging. This will however mean that you will have to pay good attention on what you are doing. The bug report and the answers: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/bugs3...iew&bugid=1007 |
