Make split or copied thread as"new"
I would like it if when I split a thread or copy it to another location, the newly created thread is considered to be new, with a zero post count and zero view count. Is this possible? Is there a hack available for this already?

There is a hack around that can bump or make a thread newer/older. Just considering it as new is not possible, since that is determined based on the post date.

That makes sense. It's not "new" if the date is old. But what about resetting the views counter to zero? Is that tied to the post date? When I copy a thread to a new location, or split a thread, it can't be made to show as having 0 views? A client is asking that this be done. If it's impossible, I need to know what to tell him.

Resetting views could be done i guess.
