Why so few?

Compared to phpBB styles, there are about 1/4th as many vB styles. I don't understand, I thought vB was way more popular.

phpBB = FREE vB =$$
there tends to be more available when there isn't $ involved. There are many vb skins out there, just slim pickins compared to IB, phpBB, and some others.

i agree with subnet though. phpbb is free, but i think vbulletin is more popular with people that are serious about their communities, i think it would attract more style makers and therefor more styles compared to what is available now.

it seems there is even a lack of paid styles too.

There are sites that are now moving to vB because of this, Ourself being one of them, We cover IPB for a few years and we now decided to move from them to the best forum system around, we need to work our way up, make a name for ourselfs, we was the largest around for a while for IPB, but we stopped and now we here on vB to help out

I hear from a few contacts that a few fellow sites from IPB are also now heading vB ways, so make way for the styles to come in

Give it a few months to a year and vbulletin will have alot more communitys designing skins for VB.

In my experience people using VB r willing to spend money on skins, and they want a custom skin that only they have, unlike phpBB or other forums where u see the same skin on hundreds of different sites.
