Anybody who plays guitar here?
I need advice on the price of an Ibanez 7-String, I forget the model number... Anyway, this guitar is worth about $600, but they are a lot of things wrong with it, like nicks in the paint, something wrong with the nut. My friend wants to sell it to me for $275. Is that a deal? The things wrong are: A bunch of nicks in the paint, and the nut broke so it was replaced with some other kind of nut and now you can't change the tuning for some strings. Otherwise it's pretty decent. Any ideas? |

I've been playing guitar for over 15 years. if there's a problem with the nut.. pass on the deal. It's not worth the trouble. For $275 at a local pawn shop you'll find a better deal. I even found a $1300 Jackson KE3 at a pawn shop for less than $500.

Yea sounds like you would be putting more money into it then it is worth. Pawn shops are good places to find cheap guitars as said. I would also recomend picking up a digital tuner, I have one myself and it saves me tons of time

Ok, thanks guys.
![]() At the moment I currently own a GSA60 Ibanez guitar, and when I tune it to Dropped A it's a real Metal Machine. ![]() Oh and about the digital tuner, I tune to my piano, or my sisters Recorder so no worries there. ![]() |

Tuner? Heck, I always just tune the low E to whatever song happens to be playing on my CD player then tune the rest to that. Generally, it's close enough for rock and roll.
