I started with a MySQL database function wrapper, then the template engine, and then just the rest making up useful functions along the way.

More delicious screenshot goodness; check out that last query, it took a few minutes to think how to write it

Normally I might do that but I have very strict rules for coding (NASA's Java style guide ate my brain).

I will actually do it for people who want to make prototype style sets (i.e., graphics with HTML pages that can eventually be translated into raw templates).

well ya see with sourceforge people can apply to help and then you have the adminship to say "YOU!?! help ME? yeah right " or "bah sure but if you mess up I'll kill you!"

thats what I like about them

but its your script...

Well I'm not going to release it at sourceforge after all because I don't want it to be open source, only "viewable" source like vBulletin is. I might make a project page on my personal site, eventually, or a hidden forum at WDF.

heh yeah opensource can have alot of good stuff when you don't think you can handle it all, but when you know you can (and I know you can ) then it sometimes can die because someone kills the project
