I am looking for a modification which shows the last Topic on the frontpage in each forum. It would be nice if it could look like this:

Best would be if it cuts of the Topic Title and only shows a certain amount of it so that the frontpage will not get messed up.

Any chance this could be done only be template editing?

hmm i though "last poster /hack/" is generally installed in vbb?

Yeah the last Poster is there, but I want the last TOPIC to show. So that you already see on the front page what is being discussed in that thread

oh sorry ... i havent seen it ... hmm ... iam to 98 percentage sure about that you need to install a hack from vb.org

Yes, it's a hack over at vB.org. Do a search otherwise I can link for you.

lordstar is correct its a hack at vb.org and it takes like 1 min to do easy stuff! do a search at vb.org for "topic started on date" or somthing like that

Thanks, I checked and found something but this is not what I wanted:

To me it looks like there is a box that shows the last XX Threads on the homepage, not just the very last one in each forum. Or am I mistaken?

Anyone have this installed to check it out?

Okay, like in the welcome panel like "2 Threads and 4 Posts since your last visit"
