Separated Forum groups
Hi all
I have just successfully managed to edit some templates to separate the forum groups on the main page , (courtesy of a tutorial by , I believe, Xiphoid?). Now, I need to identify the beginning and end of each "block" to try something else that is not in that excellent tutorial. The templates involved in the first edit to separate the blocks were: forumhome forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost forumhome_forumbit_level0_nopost I have Identified that the table starts in: forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost by placing some test "text" in a cell of the table but cant seem to get the other end Can anyone point me in the right direction please? |

It's in one of those forumhome_level1 bla bla type templates. Just look for the forum/description variables in the code. Then you'll know it's that one.

Hi Tony
Thanks for that I found it in the end in the main page template What I want to do now is to be able to split then sufficiently that I can "tabify" the categories. I think the easiest way to explain is visually so: http://www.webxpertz.com/temp/ This is ppurely a "cobbled" together example but it gives the idea. I want to place the category titlesni one row at the top and have the subsequent categories each in a subsequennt row with the daisply set to none. Click the category title and it toggles the display. Any thoughts anyone? |
