Looks like your missing $totalthreads variable to get the number of threads and $totalposts which is the number of post.

That varible doesnt come stantard with vBulletin. You'll have to hack index.php

Well Im assuming he did seeing how he got the templates but then again he could have a modified version of it here or somewhere else. Go here and post for support in that thread if you did installl the hack.
