I'm looking for a hack that will only allow admins and mods to use certain avatars. I thought I once seen it on vbulletin.org but I have searched and cant seem to find it again, or i have mistakened.

Anyone know of such a thing?

Or just upload the custom avatars for each of your mods and admins in the admincp

(that's what we do)

Nope it's not a mod (if I ever have an original mod I will be so excited that I would be over here in a flash to post it!)

All I'm talking about is you go to your admin cp and search for the mod or admin you want to have a special avatar for. Then you go down to the avatar part and click on browse and upload the custom av. On our boards we only allow staff to have custom avs, and we use larger sized ones so it's easy to pick out the staff from the regular members.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what he's trying to do, though

Well, it's not "exactly" a mod, but my "Stars" mod wasn't either. If the whole point of vBT is to expand the capability of vBulletin without hacking it, then I think what you're describing would fit.

It's more instructional than a true mod, but I'd post it. I'm sure there are others that could benefit from it. Seriously.

Yes, after looking over at vb.org one of the admins or mods stated how to allow mods and admins custom avatars and not regular members.

Doing exactly what cassandra said. I assume thats where he got it too.
