Horizontal Rule
Is there a way to get a horizontal rule between the left and right areas, and one at the bottom in correlation with the right one?

Are you asking how to get the lines in your board like the picture? If so, you could enter a <hr> tag, or you could use an image if you prefer.
If not, then I'm not sure what you're asking. |

If you look at that picture again, I am talking about on the left column where it has the username, if there could be a horizontal rule to lineup with the one at the bottom on the right side. Also, if I could get one that splits down the middle of the left and right column. (In between the user info and the post).
I am using a modified postbit, yes. |

Yeah, what you're wanting to do is rather tough. You basically have two table cells: 1) the user info and 2) the post. It would be really hard to have a line that appeared to cross both cells and was always lined up. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but it would be a very complicated table to try and make it work.
For the top to bottom line separating the two cells, you could put a border around your table, but it would put the border around the entire cell, not just one line. That's probably not what you want. An alternative would be to create a background image that was transparent, except for a line on the right. Make it so that it can easily copy and then place it in the background of the user info cell. Hope that helps! |
