To change your catagory Headings Background/Area.

basically, i want to take away the cell that it's in, and add an Image for a background, not like a gradient image, like a left aligned image, with a stretching part on the right.

I've looked at the templates, and have no idea which to edit.

Look under "Forum Home Page Templates" for Forum Home Page for "forumhome" and see if that's it.
