Best way for my homepage
Im struggling here from converting over from UBB to Vbulletin in terms of my homepage. Before with UBB classic, I designed my own homepage, and just used php include statements which called my "whos online", calendar, latest topics, etc.
However I know two ways now to create a homepage with VB.
Im not sure what the difference is here, but I dont know if either is entirely what Im looking for. The CMPS is cool and all but there are many things I dont want, like the polls being used from the forums, instead of creating custom ones before with 3rd party script. Also, just the look of the text boxes, before I had designed them differently. I dunno, I need the best method for me and the easiest. Alot of these hacks above I mentioned require alot of know how. Can I somehow take my current page, and subsitiute my include statements for VB info that I want to pull? LIke latest topics, etc? |

As we don't know your environment it's kinda hard to say what would be the easiest way, what needs to be done and such as most often this requires custom code. |

The easiest way would be to visit vbadvanced.com and download his cmps for free and all of those things have been done for you.
