Default Site Feedback!

I would appreciate some constructive criticism on my new site design and logo.

Football-Forums.com

Thanks!

color is used to set mood -- by using the right color or combination of colors, you can create an atmosphere or mood in which people will likely respond

you should think about using different colors for the site ... the shades of green just doesn't scream 'sports' to me--it's a calm natural feeling when it should be exciting hot passionate ... just look at all the team logos out there for inspiration

just imagine placing a handful of 4 year olds in a room with walls painted in green shades while in another room the walls are painted in red, blue, yellow, and white -- which one do you think the 4 year olds will fall asleep faster?

------------------------------

on the forum index page, the PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL forum list (they have images associated with the name)...
I recommend splitting this section into multiple columns. There is a hack available that will do this for you -- not sure what the name is.

Add https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=80375 to your default vbulletin error pages.
Also, you may want to consider adding a site map to the site.

I dunno, the green is like the turf and it goes well with the logo. A multicolumn hack would be good for the team listings. All in all it is nice to see something that isn't totally generic.

Spruce up the background by using an image instead of they grey crap.

Btw the logo looks a little kiddy...... Go for something more realistic....... Make your members almost feel like they can smell the sweat from the field.

I love the logos used for the icons of each team and you really organized the forums well.

Thanks for all of the input everyone.

Princeton---
I tried this hack to add columns, but it just displays a blank page. I have test forum install, which I was unable to get to work as well. If anyone knows of another similar hack, I would love to try it.

I am actually relieved by your comments about my color scheme. I have been a part of many other forums, that look as if a color-blind designed. The whole reason for creating football-forums, was to have a BB that was not bogged down by adds, banners and annoying avatars.

I made the change to the error template. I am chooseing between 2 sitemap hacks on my test board. Thanks!!

Darax---
Thanks!! I have spent many hours trying to 'smooth' out the site. Appreciate the input!

Corriewf---
I am working with a flash desinger to make my field come alive, problem is.. me being too picky. Thanks for the comments!

If your going to do a flash header make two styles. Have one for say dial up users which would be the style you have now spruced up a little and the second for regular users with a flash header and a nice image to replace the current grey background.
