If forum is private, don't show subforums on forumhome
Hey what is the if statement I need to put around the subforum code to make it so subforums aren't displayed on forumhome if they are in a forum that the person doesn't have access to?
Thanks. ~007 |

Why don't you use forum permissions in the adminCP... just state which usergroups can't see the sub-forums and they won't see them.

Good point, will try that lol!
Actually that won't work I don't think. I want them to see the main forum still, just as Private. |

The main forum you could set as View forum - yes, view others threads - no post threads-no. Sub-forums don't have to inherit permissions from the parent forum and you can set them to View forum - no.

Interestingly enough, I already have both forums set to "View forum - no" for guests and some usergroups and since I have "Hide private forums - no" selected, it just shows both still. Nobody can get in, but still... Just want to make it not show up in subforums listings..
