vB is lightyears ahead of ubb when it comes to modification. IPB was a bit harder to modify for me then vB but thats probbly due to the fact that I was introduced to php via vBulletin.
I agree with you tho, there is always room for improvment. But looking at where bbs software was 5 years ago, no one can deny that its come a long way. ![]() |

ipb was really hard to edit, especially when trying to move stuff from one spot of the page to another, you would have to edit the php files. ipb admin panel is very very confusing on where to start to edit anything.
i never used phpbb, i always thought that script was horrible for customizing anything. but vb i find it to be a huge improvement from any forum script ever. |

Personally when i was on IPB, i thought it was easier to edit, dunno, i just seem to like OOP set up's myself, kinda stuck to me.
