Image Verification / Avatar Problem -

In a recent upgrade from 3.0.5 to 3.0.7 something got screwed up as the image verification function is broke (red x) and also my avatars dissappeared. I rechecked all the hacks installed (many) and cannot come to reason what is wrong.

I got the avatars to work again by selecting the move-from-DB to file system option. If I move them back to the DB they don't work.

I'm open to any ideas on what to check, specific files / tables, etc...........

I've dug myself a hole and need to get out. Other then the image verification / avatar problems all hacks / the board is working fine.

You might want to consider leaving the avatars in the filesystem, unless you have very limited diskspace.
Not only is this more query efficient, but it also makes the job of backing up the database and forums itself easier.

As for the image verification, try checking your GD settings, maybe try some of the maintenance scripts in the ACP... Just for the hell of it

Tried every maint script and GD+ is working fine on my test board. I'm almost convinced something in the DB was corrupted during the upgrade but I can't seem to follow the image functions to figure out where the actual query is being made or which table.

It's really ticking me off.

I've looked over the files from my test board to the live board and can't see anything wrong with the hack installation.

My next idea is to move a copy of my live DB that I suspect is screwed and import it into a clean vbinstall and see if the same thing happens that would place it in the DB for sure.

Anyone else have any ideas????

I found the problem, a typo during the upgrade in image.php!
