Moving the Post Number (ie: #12)

Wasn't sure what it was called. The following picture is of what it's like now. I showed where I would like it to be. Can anyone tell me how to get it there?

Can you tell me how to fix it with that? When I add a <td align="right"> before the #, it moves it to the right, but doesn't have the red color behind it. It's a white block.
