So yeah, I went to see this last night. It was one of the best movies I've seen I didn't know Ray was a serious junkie in his early years and Jamie Foxx's acting is superb.
I wouldn't spend money to watch it, but if a friend let me borrow it or something of that nature I wouldn't be against seeing it.
It's a great movie, one of which actually details his life pretty well. One of my head managers was watching a special on the film during the creation of the movie and during the time that Ray Charles was alive. The interview went over how Jamie Foxx actually had to learn to play on the same level as Ray Charles before they would permit him to play him in the movie, both vocally and on the piano.
While I am sure this is not a movie for everyone, it is a movie well worth watching.
