How can I change the font size of long user names in the postbit?

Some users have rather long names and when posts are shown their user name stretches the table where they are and then everything is offset a bit.

I increased the width of the table where the user names are shown as much as I want, but there are still some user names that are too big.

I was wondering if it would be possible to check the length of the user name and if it is greather that some number use a smaller font.

well u could set it so uses only pick a nick/username with a certain amount of letters.

i dot allow any more than 12 letters long

Thats a good idea for future users. How do I do that.

But for current users, I don't want to change their user name. If I knew how to check the length of the user name I should be able to change the font in the postbit, but don't know how to check the length.
