Post / Edit code help

I am looking for the following in the vB code, but for some reason I am getting twisted around. I am not the best with PHP either, so that is a big help.

1. Where is the bit of code that handles displaying of each post before it is handed to the template?
2. Where is the bit of code that handles displaying of each post before it is handed the "print this page" template?
3. Where is the bit of code that handles displaying of a post preview before it is handed to the template?
4. Where is the bit of code that handles displaying of a post being edited before it is handed to the template?
5. Where is the bit of code that handles putting an edited post in the database?

Every time I think I have found the above, I get thrown a curveball looking at another section of code that looks like it does the same thing.

Any help is appreciated!

you have to look at the function-files.
functions_newpost for post inserting
functions_bbcodeparse for parsing
and functions_showthread for the postbit design

I thought functions_newpost only handled... well... new posts. I never looked at it because what I am looking to do is make changes to posts that are displayed and posts that are edited. I will have to look at that, then. As for the rest, I have been looking.

I will continue to look and hope to find what I am looking for. I am attempting to look at some hacks that deal with the same areas I am trying to alter for the hack I am writing.
