I have three vBulletin licenses running on three different urls but on the same server. All are on the same WHM but, obviously, three different cpanels.
For the past couple of days, all emails - sent by users or for confirmations - coming out of any of the vBulletins comes out garbled (text is garbled). Note that only the body of the emails is garbled code, the subject is fine. All other email functions on the server work fine including POP emails, webmail and mail from our Kayako support desk. Only the vBulletin mails are garbled. Our hosting company (excellent techs) can't figure it out. Ideas? Thanks. |

Sending from the mail to form in vBulletin, if I type in the word "Hello" in the body, this is what I get:
VGhpcyBpcyBhIG1lc3NhZ2UgZnJvbSBBZG1pbjEgYXQgQ2l0aX plbiBDb3JyZXNwb25kZW50J3Mg Rm9ydW0gKCBodHRwOi8vaS1jaXRpemVuLm9yZy9mb3J1bS9pbm RleC5waHAgKS4gVGhlIENpdGl6 ZW4gQ29ycmVzcG9uZGVudCdzIEZvcnVtIG93bmVycyBjYW5ub3 QgYWNjZXB0IGFueSByZXNwb25z aWJpbGl0eSBmb3IgdGhlIGNvbnRlbnRzIG9mIHRoZSBlbWFpbC 4KClRvIGVtYWlsIEFkbWluMSwg eW91IGNhbiB1c2UgdGhpcyBvbmxpbmUgZm9ybToKaHR0cDovL2 ktY2l0aXplbi5vcmcvZm9ydW0v c2VuZG1lc3NhZ2UucGhwP2RvPW1haWxtZW1iZXImdXNlcmlkPT EKCk9SLCBieSBlbWFpbDoKbWFp bHRvOmZvcnVtYWRtaW5AaS1jaXRpemVuLm9yZwoKVGhpcyBpcy B0aGUgbWVzc2FnZToKCkhlbGxv All my automatic emails (email authentification, etc.) are also garbled. Remember, this happens from any of my three boards (same server, different urls and cpanels). And the headers (to:, cc: and even subject) are fine. |

Hold everything. I just discovered something. Not sure if it helps.
The message arrives garbled in all POP3 clients but not on webmail. |

Hmm, I have absolutely no idea what could be causing it. Has your host recently upgraded PHP?

No but the php.ini file was touched. But we can't find anything wrong with it, for now... :ermm:

Yup, that was the problem. Fixed a long time ago, fortunately.
