Is There a Way ...
To prevent users from opening up several windows to your forum? Reason why I ask is that some guys login and have 4 or more windows open, and for every window after the first is read as a "Guest" session.
How can I control the amount of connections, one user can make per login? |

login as a regular user, and open a few windows to your forum and check your WOL. You will have more people on your forum than their actually is because of this.

I've seen it happen if you use the AOL browser because AOL uses proxies. So, one user on AOL sometimes has more than one IP hitting your site at the same time.

Now as to the exact code, I don't know it offhand - but go look on some javascripting sites. Meanwhile you'll be putting the script in your headinclude template. Note that this won't stop someone from opening multiple windows using multiple browsers on the same machine. |
