Ah I can afford it im just not happy but I want to be, probobly because I have the worst mum available it seems. :disappointed:
Aint even got me any xmas presents no xmas dinner just nothin she said she hates it and is sleeping through it.

Yes actually considering I dont have much college left and after i finish college before i get a real job im volunteering to go there for 3-6 months.

Just imagine you and your daughters mother both die from HIV (now i know its ignorance on the parents part) and your dauther is left to fend for herself. Wouldnt you want someone to help? She has nobody left and shes wandering the streets forced into prostitution at the age of 8? That is the sort of things going on there. Millions of people are in that situation... not just a thousand or ten thousand but millions.

well in your case maybe i was wrong as well m8 - but at this time of the year the do gooders do seem to come out of the woodwork and think there doing some good when they dont relise this is an all year round think and not just over the festive season.Anyway if u really are going to help them then good luck to u m8 as u are doing something about what u believe in and i myself believe in this time of plenty no one should be starving on this planet but until the politics of them countries are sorted out - im afraid no matter of singing or donating will make the slightest difference in the long run.

Anyway its now xmas day - just finished wrapping rest of kids toys and going bed - and yeah at times it does make u wonder how lucky we really are.........

makes me appreciate my mom so much more, my mom could hardly afford her own cell and she went and brought me one, it almost broke my heart to know that she cared that much

But back onto the main topic here, the Oprah donations thing.
Not saying Im against donating (and I would have, had I owned a CC), but quite frankly I dont trust Oprah. Why? Because she recently came to Norway for this event... I dont remember if it were for the Nobel Peace Prize or something else, but anyways, she came and was interviewed. She was a total b*tch. She was talking about Tom Cruise, and she asked the norwegian reporter if he knew Tom was famous. When our guy said "um...yes..." she said "oh! you have done your homework!", like we were some isolated place upnorth that needed to go look up Tom to find out he was famous.
That comment ticked me off :P
When I get a CC and going to donate, Im doing it through Amnesty or any other official and trustworthy organisation, that I can be sure won't stick cash in their own pockets.
