Editing images in posts is a pain in the ass, because if you make a mistake in the url, you have to delete the image in the edit box completely re-type the url. Is there any way to turn off this annoying feature that puts the actual image in the edit box instead of the url and code?

Turn off the WYSIWYG editor in your User CP -> Edit Options -> Message Editor Interface. Switch back to the standard editor.

Hmmm I like most of the features with that other editor, just don't like the image thing. Does anyone have a hack to disable only that? I haven't seen one (and I did look).

I don't think so.
The whole point of the WYSIWYG is that What You See Is What You Get. Really, making it display code in one instance is annoying. You could switch the the normal editor for a page load if you add "&toolbartype=1" to the URL. |
