Footer Problem, vB3

I'm having a problem making a modification to my page Footer...

I'm currently stuck using the standard, default square footer... but I want to modify it to look like this...



But when I go in and plug in what I think I need to keep, into the table that makes the correct look, it looks like this...



Could anyone help me figure out how this needs to be done? I'm lost.

it looks like a prob with false/incompatibel padding and margin in your css

or
false/incompatible
font-size in the tds
or line heights
or border

( I hate ths prob, because I 'ts horror to find it out)
