Externally adding content to an editbox and Banning from a specific forum
Hi all, I would like help with a couple of things
I'm in the phases of migrating to vB after a long work on it, and what really disturbs me are the following things: First, the vB file attachment interface; I have an interface that I coded in my current forum, and I would like to use it instead; 1) What I did so far was to remove the file attachments system from vB using the CP, and: 2) Modify the templates editpost, newthread & newreply to have a new link to open my external php uploading script (using JS), and: 3) Modified the upload script to interact with vB's global.php, for user authentication etc. The only problem I sit at now with this is a rather simple one (or, so I thought...), and it is: How to make my external window add the URL of the uploaded file into the editor window! Before you answer, remember that there are three editors that the user can choose from in vB Second, would anyone know by anychance: if there's a way to let moderators ban users only from their forum (instead of the whole system)? Preferrably, if it would be smart like vB's banning system (i.e. can set expiry time for bans, etc.) I would be glad for any help about this, Thanks for any help you can give... Shimi |
