[Development] Battle System

Im sick of waiting for someone to make a free battle system mod so Im gonna make one.

What features do you think there should be?
Also what type of system should it be. One that just makes a post with a poll or on an entirely different page.

um i would like to see healing, summons, magic, maybe some dice,maybe more than 2 people can duel at a time?, um alot of stuff i cant think of right now

Are you talking about a battle page as in RPG or battle page as in rap battles

oh sorry, I didnt mention its a rap battle system

ive already started it too, its coming along well.

at the moment im not adding a battle time out function because im new to VB, there can only be WINS and LOSES

In the admin CP you can set how many points winners get and how many loses get, ie the loser gives the winner (x) amount of points

its coming along nicely

but im doing stocktake at the moment (5pm till 3am) so it might be a week or 2 before this is done.

treez, first off I welcome this with open arms. I am running the current RBS (mindtrix's) on my site and in less than a month it's turned into the most popular section we've ever had, we use it for guitar battles but all the principals are the same.

I have several suggestions but before starting a list up I would like to know the how you are approaching it. I have currently added some logic to the current one but it still falls short it many ways when it comes to logic and error control.

Please let me know what you have planned and I will be glad to assist in any way I can, fincancially, help testing, ideas and coding.

My first thought on coding a new system from scratch would be something like the current vbArcade system, minus the games. It utilizes a challenge system, keeps track of scoring and so on I think it could be a good way to start.

whats funny is i have a full working version on mine....only thing mine needs is a part where you have to reply first in order to vote on the poll. after that the hack is finally done.
