Any hacks that 'don't play well with others'?

This is probably a really dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway.

I'm upgrading my hacked-up 2.34 board to 3.03, and I'm trying to work out my strategy of recreating the older hacks with their vb3 counterparts.

(Not all my faves are ported yet -- no quizzes or interactive stories, for example. Rats!)

Anyway, before I go hog-wild and start installing the hacks, I want to make sure that I won't mess anything up by either adding conflicting hacks -- for example, one hack requiring a bit of code that an earlier hack changes or removes -- or adding "dud" hacks that aren't running perfectly on 3.03.

So here are the hacks I plan/hope to install as of now.

Whew! Okay, my questions are:

1) Looking at the list, do you see any that just don't work well togther?

2) Any of the above not ready for installation on a 3.03 board? I've seen some unaddressed problems in the thread for the "Better Welcome Panel" hack, for example.

3) Are there some hacks that you'd recommend I install prior to others, for whatever reason?

4) Finally, is this too much to do to a board? I'm confident that I can add them all, but ... should I? Will my board's performance be significantly harmed?

most hacks are compatible with eachother... the only ones that have problems are the ones that replace large segments of code. Though I haven't seen many of those for vb3

Thanks, Modin! Well, since no one else is responding I guess I'll take that as this being a dumb question, as I thought.

Do you think I'll be adding too much to my forum, or is this a fairly average number of hacks?

vBpetz and uShop might not get along together by default, as they are sorat the same thing.

Whoa, hold on ... vBpetz and uShop are the same thing??? Really? I thought vBpetz was like one of those neopets jobbies, and uShop was like Lesane's store. Am I wrong?

What Zach means is that vbpetz and the ushop are both 'stores' although each deels with different things

... and on that note, you may want to check the Warning System since i think it has some similiar functionality to the points portions of hte hacks.... Then again, Erwin has all three of these running on his forums so... maybe there isnt any conflicts.

vbPetz and uShop should play nice. Might have to compromise on the postbit edit, but I haven't looked at any of the vbPetz code so I don't know.

Ooohhhh, okay, thank you guys! That makes sense. I guess I was thinking that vbpetz could be one of the items utilized in the ushop, but it seems as if the two hacks were created independently. (Probably vbpetz was done before ushop?)

I'm intimidated by vB3 as it is, so I'm trying to make it as manageable as possible. It feels as if every hack thread I visit from the above list is still buggy. Even justifiably high-rated hacks such as Arcade, Articles, "Better Welcome Panel," and so on don't seem as stable as their vb2 counterparts. Is it because vb3 is still relatively new? Am I putting my nice clean installation at risk by shoving all these new hacks into it?

Seriously, thanks Zachary. I'll try not to go crazy in loading up on excess doodads. Deciding which are vital and which are fun but pointless is a whole 'nother question.
