Default List of variables

Guys, I'm trying so hard to learn how to mod VBulletin, but I'm so overwhelmed by all the variable names and templates. I thought I remember seeing one a while back for version 2, but I could be wrong. Is there such a list because this would help me out so much.

ex

what is $bbuserinfo and what's in it?
what does forumdisplay.php do?

I'm very excited about working on my forum every night, but I'm getting frustated with hitting these walls. Thanks guys.

Contains all the information about the user who is viewing the site, so for example here on vB.org when I'm browsing $bbuserinfo['userid'] contains 10435, my userid.

Shows a thread/announcement listing for a specified forum and does the redirects for the forum jump.

thanks. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Is there a list of all those variables and files? That would help me so much.

Not unless they have any details about them in the manual on vB.com, which I don't think they do.

so, what exactly is contained in the $bbuserinfo array? I am looking to use groupid and other things and was wondering how I could find out what all was in $bbuserinfo array.

Thank you

I'm also on the road to writing my first hack, so I'd like to know what's involved in using global.php to grab user information. I noticed that some hacks seem to use the VBB cookie, rather than VBB itself to connect up and grab VBB user information etc, what's the deal here?

If I run code like this

PHP Code:
include (global.php)

(list (
$key,$value)) $bbuserinfo {echo $key $value
(pseudo code) will it work, or does it get more complicated than that?

Is there a beginners guide for hackers available or what's the story there?
