What is an Apendix?
I have to do this huge report about Dell and its Due Thursday. However, I have the title page, table of contents, and the body complete. It says I have to do an appendix. What is one and does anyone have an example of one? Can someone make me one LOL...

It is...
supplementary material that is collected and appended at the back of a book a vestigial process that extends from the lower end of the cecum and that resembles a small pouch wormlike appendage of the bowel, located in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen Supplementary materials printed at the end of the general text. A wormlike ?pouch? several inches long located near the top of the large intestine, in the lower right portion of the abdomen. At this time, the role the appendix plays in the human body is not known. Supplementary materials added to the end of a document. A part of a written work, not essential to the completeness of the text, which contains complementary information, such as statistical tables or explanatory material, too long to be included in footnotes or endnotes. An appendix differs from an addendum in having been planned from the beginning as an integral part of the work, rather than conceived after the work Supplementary section at the end of a document which contains material relating to the main body of the document. Lymphoid organ in the intestine. material which is not part of the main text appearing at the end of the book addition at the end of the book. Follows the text of a book and contains notes, charts, tables, lists, or other detailed information discussed in the text. Unessential and supplemental information that may be added to your application, including publications, manuscripts, abstracts, patents, questionnaires, data collection instruments, and photographs. No reviewer is obligated to review anything in an appendix. ... take your pick. |

An Appendix is something that adds on to what something is about and should be at the end of your report. (I know that's not the greatest defination, but it's the best I could come up with. )
An example of what an appendix could be is maybe you list some definations of some words that you decided to use in your report, that is not common knowledge. Also, Maps, Diagrams, Illustrations, Tables, and Lists all would be appropriate for an appendix. An actual example of an appendix can be found on the vBulletin documention area @ vbulletin.com: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/ I hope this helps! |
