Grab forum posts and spit them out on another page
Hi,
Just bought vbulletin and liking it already. I know how to work with php, so I'm not a total newbie. I have a regular site separate from the forum. There are many different sections on the regular site and for each I need to have a "news" section. I would like the news posts to come from that designated forum of the vb forum. (example, for an "events" page on my site, the news script grabs the last 5 posts in the "events" forum"). Of course, the news need to display any formatting and should probably link back to the post in the forum so people can comment on it. How can I do this? |

Heya, please don't bump your posts until 24 hours later
Also, have you checked out the portals for vB? All of them have a news section you could use. |

I do not know how to extract the necessary code from any of the portals for use as a small news-fetching script. What I want is, quite simply, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=59892 , however as you can see by the last post of that thread it was left hanging just a tad. i would like that same thing, except finished so that all i have to do is include it in my nonvb php page and change the forumid and it's set.
can you quickly finish up that code on the other forum for me (and i know some other peopel would appreciate it)? i know it won't take long. |
